JOB DESCRIPTION:
This job is physical in nature and requires being on your feet while working hard. You must be able to lift 75 lbs and you must be able to learn how to tie rigging knots. Job duties include dragging and chip brush, raking up debris,running a chain saw and trimming trees and bushes. Some landscaping experience is required. Experience driving a 1 ton dump truck pulling a trailer is necessary as you will be doing it on day one. A chauffeur license or ability to obtain one (easy test at SOS) is required. A medical card is required also easy physical to pass(I pay for this). We begin work at 7am daily and work until 2-4pm usually, occasionally on Saturday. This is a payroll job and your paid every Friday. The owner is on every job directing the work and you will be taking directions from my other crew members as well, they have been on my team many years and know what I want done. To work with us a good attitude is mandatory, I can train a lot if the person is a go getter. If you have a drug or drinking problem you NEED NOT APPLY. We have a 0 tolerance policy for any one coming in to work less than 100% sober. We work in the Plymouth, Canton, Northville areas so a local resident would be preferred.
We own and use some of the best equipment in the industry and are always upgrading each year.
JOB PAY AND BENEFITS:
Starting pay for the groundsman position is $15 per hour. One week paid vacation after 6 months employment. I pay unemployment benefits in the three winter months we are off(67% of your gross weekly) which is a nice perk. I carry workmanship compensation insurance on all employees in case of an injury. There is room for pay increases for the right person.
